Notice Of Public Hearing As To Issuance Of City

Of Mt Sterling, Kentucky Healthcare Revenue 
Bonds (Gateway Juvenile Diverson Project), Series 2018

 

Pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 7:00 P.M., E.T., at the regular meeting place of the City Council of the City of Mt. Sterling, at 33 North Maysville St., Mt. Sterling Kentucky Healthcare Revenue Bonds (Gateway Juvenile Diversion Project), Series 2018 (the "Bonds"), to assist Gateway Junvenile Diversion Project, Inc.,  a Kentucky non-profit corporation (the "Corporation") in financing the acquisition and renovation of an 25,000 square foot facility with three floors located at 37 N. Maysville Road in Mt. Sterling (the "Project"). The Project is to be owned and operated by the Corporation as an intergral part of its residential treatment facility for juveniles and for uses incidental thereto.  The maximum aggregate face amount of the Bonds to be issued shall be $968,000.

At such hearing, interested individuals will be given the opportunity to express their views on proposed issue of Bonds and the location and nature of the Project.

Notice To All City Property Owners
 
The 2017 City Tax bills will be mailed on October 20, 2017.  Tax bills are mailed to the property owner or the address shown on tax bill.   If your tax bill is to be paid by a mortgage company, or previous owner, please forward the bill to the responsible party for payment.  If you do not receive a bill please contact City Hall at (859) 498-8725 Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or a copy can be obtained at http://mtsterling.truelevy.com.

Tax bills are due and payable begining November 01, 2017 with following collection dates: 

5% discount                11/01/2017 to 11/30/2017
Face amount               12/01/2017 to 12/31/2017
10% Penalty+              01/01/2018  to 01/31/2018

additional .5% interest per month from 02/01/2018

payment can be mailed to: City Hall

                                           Mt. Sterling, Ky 40353

Payments should be made out to the City of Mt. Sterling and should Include a copy of your tax bill or bill number.  If you wish for a recipet to be mailed to you, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

For your convenience tax bills are paid receipts can be obtained online at http://mtsterling.truelevy.com.  or http://cityofmountsterling.com

However, tax bills cannot be paid on-line.
